Well, fresh off his blockbuster Netflix showdown with Mike Tyson, ‘The Problem Child’ decided to treat himself to the ultimate prize, a new private jet. The 28-year-old wasted no time showing off the grey marvel to his 28.3 million Instagram followers. 

Parked beside it was a £200,000 Mercedes-Maybach SUV in the same striking colour. All this thanks to the reported paycheck of a jaw-dropping $40 million, or £31 million from the Tyson fight. Fast forward to today, while ‘El Gallo’ gears up for another blockbuster bout against Gervonta Davis, he’s stirring the pot once again. How? By mocking Davis’ former mentor, Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather may end up buying a new private jet

Earlier today, Jake Paul jumped on Instagram with a jab at ‘Money’ Mayweather. What did the clip show? Well, in the clip, Paul stood with Mayweather’s private jet in the background and quipped, “Floyd, I thought you had a big jet. Six windows?” He then strutted over to his own aircraft, revealing it was even larger. “Try 14,” Paul said mockingly.

Mayweather, of course, owns a $50 million Gulfstream G650, famously nicknamed ‘Air Mayweather.’ If that wasn’t enough, the undefeated legend doubled down last year by purchasing a second one. It was another $50 million splurge, the ‘Air Mayweather 2.’ Interestingly, he frequently shows off his jets online as proof of the fortune he’s amassed during his storied boxing career.

This time, though, the richest boxer in history may have been outshone by a YouTube star turned prizefighter. Paul is set to face Gervonta Davis, who is Mayweather’s former protege under Mayweather Promotions, on November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Meanwhile, Mayweather himself is eyeing a return next year in an exhibition clash against Mike Tyson.

Regardless, this isn’t the first time Jake Paul has taken a jab at Floyd Mayweather!

Get this! When the Floyd Mayweather vs. Mike Tyson exhibition fight was announced, it generated plenty of attention from the public. However, ‘The Problem Child’ was not impressed in the slightest. Speaking to Front Office Sports, the 28-year-old made it crystal clear that his interest lies elsewhere. “I’m not super interested in it,” he said. 

“I think they’re both gonna make a bunch of money, which is great for both of them, but I think it’s going to be a boring fight,” Paul added. “We’ve seen Floyd’s fighting style; it’s pretty boring.” He even suggested that people are ready to move from novelty fights like these. “Obviously, I want it to do the best it can for the sport of boxing,” he said. 

“But I think people want to see different fights now. We’ve had the entertainment side of things, me and Mike did it, and it’s sort of old news now.”

Only time will tell whether Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis or Floyd Mayweather vs. Mike Tyson pulls in the bigger numbers. But for now, Paul seems to be flying high while poking fun at Mayweather’s prized jets. What’s your take on Paul’s private jet flex?
