The 2023 NFL Combine gave a sneak peek into some of the future stars in the NFL. With some of the budding stars such as Anthony Richardson and C J Stroud making their names well known by setting NFL Combine records, Deuce Vaughn caught attention for a different set of reasons. And somehow, Kevin Hart has also been included in this well-known-for saga.

Both Richardson and C J Stroud went on to shatter records. While Richardson surpassed every other quarterback in the athleticism department, setting records in both the highest vertical jump and the broad jump, Stroud put on a phenomenal throwing display. Another potential prospect, Deuce Vaughn made headlines for shattering records as well but in terms of his size. Jacquizz Rodgers also has a similar experience and provided words of encouragement on social media, but Tyreek Hill was lurking in the corner.

Deuce Vaughn was measured close to 1.65 m or five feet five in height, making him the shortest player ever measured at the combine since official data was tracked in 2003.

Even with his stature, Vaughn put on an exemplary college career at Kansas State. Vaughn showcased his talents early on in his Freshman year, finishing with 642 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 123 carries, along with seven kickoff returns for 145 yards. Earning him the honors of Big 12 Conference Offensive Freshman of the Year and second-team All-Conference.

Projected to be a fourth or fifth-round selection in the upcoming 2023 NFL drafts, Deuce Vaughn is also susceptible to many questioning his ability to adapt to the NFL. His size is clearly the most noticeable thing about the prospect, but we have seen similar figures imposing their will on the league.

Another former player took to Twitter to share his own experience in this department.

Jacquizz Rodgers had an identical NFL Combine experience as Vaughn, “I’m all for it…I remember them mfers measured me in at 5’5 7/8…I didn’t know til I called home after the combine and was told “Damn you 5’5“

Tyreek Hill however did not miss this opportunity to poke fun at both of these athletes, “Both of y’all short as Kevin hart”

Several fans however ended up finding the response purely ‘ironic’ as Hill himself is not among the ‘tallest’ ones in the league. Hill’s comment was the perfect example of ‘tongue-in-cheek’ humor and athletes having fun at each other’s expense.

Kevin Hart catches stray

With these NFL fanatics having a hearty laugh, Kevin Hart seems to have caught a stray, and that too without any fault of his. The man was not even a part of the conversation. But this isn’t the first time this has happened.

The famous comedian and die-hard Eagles fan, Hart is all too familiar with these sorts of back-and-forth banters. His love for sports is well known as the man who often graces both the NFL and NBA stages with his presence, making him a staple in the competitive industry.
