Minecraft Monday was an initiative designed by popular gamer/YouTuber named Daniel “KEEMSTAR”. His idea was to invent a weekly tournament that would make the community come as one. Undoubtedly it was one of the most influential esports weekly events of all time. A million subscribers flocked to the channel, so the outreach was massive.

The event brought together famous figures like PewDiePie, Ninja, Mr.Beast etc. It ruled the internet for a while. It was also instrumental behind PewDiePie’s attempt to stop T-series. Streamers used to come together in public lobbies to compete weekly. However, unfortunately, it ran its course.

Is It Coming Back?

Recently, Keemstar tweeted that if his tweet receives 10k retweets in 24 hours, he might reconsider starting the weekly challenge for Minecraft again. What was the result? The internet lost its chill and started hitting retweet like its on speed-dial. In just three hours, the tweet received about 7k retweets. If that is not self-evident, then we don’t know what is. Minecraft Monday is a great initiative during these trying times.

This is great news for Minecraft fans and the community as well because it is going to revitalize the game. When Minecraft Monday stopped, most of the gaming community tried their best to revive it in any way possible. However, things are looking sunny right about now.

Keemstar’s efforts to unite the community was a brilliant initiative until it shut down due to financial issues. Thankfully, that was not the end of it. After the recent tweet traffic, we can be hopeful that this initiative which broke the internet back in 2019 would come back again for us all.

It was more about putting on a show for the community than personal gains. People had a misconception which gave a negative impact on this initiative. They kept assuming that Keemstar was making big bucks out of it, but indeed that was not the case. In an interview, he revealed that it was not like that at all. People really had no idea about the amount of effort needed to orchestrate this. However, eventually, they came around. The best news for us Minecraft fans now is that there might be a possibility that Minecraft Monday is going to resume soon enough.
