2009 World Series Winner Joins Aaron Rodgers and Roger Federer in Adding More Shine to New York Knicks’ Victory Over the Miami Heat

The NBA playoffs are well underway. Many teams are facing off against each other for a chance to advance and challenge for the NBA title. This includes the New York Knicks who are currently battling the Miami Heat in the second round. Most recently, a member of the New York Yankees’ 2009 World Series-winning squad joined Aaron Rodgers and Roger Federer in watching Game 2 of the Knicks-Heat series.

These sporting legends added more excitement to the already amped playoff atmosphere. The Knicks won the game against Heat, and this Yankees legend in the crowd helped make it more exciting.

The NBA playoffs are ongoing, with several interesting matchups taking place. Most recently, Game 2 of the Knicks-Heat series at MSG lit up with sports legends in the audience. Yankees legend CC Sabathia joined Aaron Rodgers, Roger Federer, Carmelo Anthony, and Amar’e Stoudemire in watching the game live.

Sabathia shared an Instagram Story in which he attached a video from the NBA highlighting him and the other legends.

The NBA captioned their video saying, “Incredible athletes in the house for HEAT/KNICKS at MSG! #NBACelebRow”. Almost all of these legends have played for or are currently playing for a New York-based team. Sabathia is a Yankees legend and Rodgers was recently traded to the New York Jets. Furthermore, Anthony and Stoudemire played for the Knicks together.

Luckily for these legends, they were able to witness a show. The Knicks beat the Heat in a close Game 2 winning 111 to 105. This ties up the series at 1-1, with more action to come. But Sabathia was seen at another NBA game during the regular season where he met an old teammate.

CC Sabathia reunited with former Yankees teammate Alex Rodriguez at an NBA game

CC Sabathia met former New York Yankees teammate Alex Rodriguez at a game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Brooklyn Nets. This happened early last month toward the end of the regular season.

Sabathia and A-Rod were seen together as Rodriguez’s Timberwolves beat the Nets. Rodriguez shared a picture of the two on Instagram, enjoying the moment with his old friend and former teammate.
