With it, he became the new record holder of the American League’s single-season home runs. And Judge made it happen proudly wearing the same Pinstripes that the previous record holders wore.

Furthermore, the whole country seems to be celebrating Judge’s conquest as it happened after quite a long wait. On September 28, Judge hit a bullet line drive over the left field fence of the Rogers Center that helped him tie with the now previous record holder, the legend Roger Maris.
Maris hit 61 in the ’61 season. Whereas Judge hit his 61st after 61 whole years, and now the record of 61 is broken.
