The ultimate showdown of Major League Baseball, the regular season 2023, is now merely a couple of days away. With it, World Baseball Classic runner-up, the iconic Mike Trout, has come up with one big announcement. Growing up, aside from playing baseball, the Angels’ slugger was profoundly interested in playing golf. Trout is widely considered one of the greatest players of modern baseball. But he could’ve easily taken up golf as a career if he wasn’t playing ball.

Instead of appreciating Mike Trout for fulling his dream, baseball fans are brutally bashing the slugger. Most of them want him to focus on baseball and the changes that the game needs.

Users on Instagram said, “How about investing in by fixing up the baseball fields and bleachers”, “Focus on baseball, you’ve struck out 6 consecutive times”, and “This is really disappointing. Golf courses are an extremely wasteful use of land.”
