2024 NBA Playoffs: Timberwolves Owner Alex Rodriguez Sets Aside Ownership Feud To Celebrate 4-0 Sweep Over Phoenix Suns

Despite the ownership struggles that have currently entangled Alex Rodriguez, he has always maintained that his love for the Minnesota Timberwolves hasn’t ended. The New York Yankees legend has always been the one who openly shares his feelings about the T-Wolves’ success. However, what’s better than saying that you love a team? Celebrating with its players after their historical achievements.
Call it a coincidence or the effect of Alex Rodriguez, the Timberwolves have been in ascendancy ever since he first announced the ownership deal in 2021. Slowly but gradually the T-Wolves have transformed themselves into a stable winning squad. The evidence of it came once again when they easily swept the Phoenix Suns 4-0 in playoffs – something that Rodriguez witnessed in person.
A-Rod’s Instagram account posted a video of Rodriguez celebrating with the players in Footprint Center after the T-Wolves defeated the Suns 122-116. With that, the Timberwolves entered round 2 of the playoffs. Rodriguez was joined by his partner Marc Lore as the two continued to hug and cheer the players.

Ever since their feud started with Glen Taylor – Rodriguez and Lore have continuously taken credit for the team’s success. The two have noted that before their arrival the team was meandering. While the Wolves did have some strong prospects, it was them appointing the new President that changed the trajectory of the team.
While it is still arguable whether that’s the case or not, there’s little doubt over one thing. Alex Rodrigeuz and Marc Lore aren’t ready to give up easily in this fight for Timberwolves’ ownership. However, what do the fans think about this entire situation? A political pollster surveyed to find out.

Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore – more popular choices in the Minnesota Timberwolves
According to a survey done by Frank Luntz, 92% of Timberwolves fans (out of the sample size of 472) believe that the team is headed in the right direction. However, the interesting bits came later when the fans were asked about the current ownership struggles. The majority (53%) of the fans believed that Alex Rodriguez’s group would prove to be more successful in the long term for the team.
The @Timberwolves are off to a really strong playoff start after a really strong season. 🏀

If that wasn’t enough, around 48% believed that Lore and Rodriguez were more popular with the players. They also believed that the duo would be able to keep Anthony Edwards in the T-Wolves. So it seems change excites the Timberwolves fans. But as with all surveys, this is just a limited number of people’s opinions. Still, with the fight going deeper for the ownership – slowly it’ll become clearer who the fans want in the authority.
