It’s not rare to find players of one sport supporting another. This year, a single moment of hopeful victory is resonating with the entire state. And why not? The Arizona Diamondbacks are fighting tooth and nail for their second franchise trophy. Blazing through the playoffs, the team’s performance has invited Kevin Durant to the show before. Will he come back for the biggest MLB battle?

“We are very excited for the D-backs. A world series here in Arizona is gonna be extremely fun,” Durant told reporters today. Along with Phoenix Suns teammate Devin Booker, the power forward appeared in the NLCS against Philadelphia. Despite the star power, the D-Backs lost that night. Nevertheless, the club bagged the ultimate win, so might Durant show up at Chase Field one of these days?

The NBA player didn’t give a straight answer, but fans are hoping for the same nevertheless. Back in 2001, the Snakes had beaten the three-time champion New York Yankees in a major victory. While not quite as huge, 2023 is still monumental in franchise history.
