But former MLB star Alex Rodriguez has reportedly broken that record while purchasing the NBA Western Conference team Minnesota Timberwolves. According to Front Office Sports, A-Rod has spent more than $200 million, surpassing Jordan’s previous record. This is a huge accomplishment for the former New York Yankees superstar.
