Shaquille O’Neal is a big-time legend both as an NBA icon and a businessman. Not only because of his 7ft stature but due to his determination and dedication. To expand one of his many franchises as a man of business, Shaq has now laid eyes on the MLB. Having found success in the NHL earlier, Big Diesel recently opened one of his restaurants at St. Louis Cardinals’ Busch Stadium, introducing some very interesting options for fans to try out.

The Lakers legend has been making big moves in the food and beverage business and has plenty of brands attached to his name. And now, Shaq’s latest move brings a much-revered restaurant for Cardinals fans.

Shaquille O’Neal opens Big Chicken restaurant at Busch Stadium

Shaquille O’Neal has invested his money wisely since retiring, building a massive business empire. O’Neal has now opened a Big Chicken restaurant at St. Louis Cardinals’ Busch Stadium. The NBA legend brings his brand of chicken sandwiches to Cardinals fans. In addition, there are some exciting menu items, one of which is “The 314”. It is a chicken sandwich with a red maple bacon doughnut as the bun. 

In a tweet, MLB Life said, “Shaquille O’Neal opened one of his Big Chicken restaurants at the @Cardinals’ ballpark”. They further said, “Featured on the menu is ‘The 314,’ which is a chicken sandwich with Shaq sauce on a red maple bacon doughnut”.

This is a sensible move by the NBA legend as he expands his chicken sandwich franchise into new markets. Cardinals fans get a new option to pick from during home games. Houston Astros’ Minute Maid Park has some tasty treats as well. The new location, however, isn’t Big Chicken’s first sports stadium location.

Big Chicken is available at other sports stadiums as well

Over the last couple of years, Big Chicken has really grown under the watch of Shaquille O’Neal. Prior to Busch Stadium, the restaurant chain opened locations at two NHL teams’ home stadiums. Big Chicken is available at New York Islanders’ UBS Arena and Seattle Krakens’ Climate Pledge Arena. This latest move into the Cardinals’ stadium is to perhaps test MLB waters.
