Fresh Off NBA Playoffs Disappointment, Minnesota Timberwolves Owner Alex Rodriguez Casts an Ambitious Dream for 2028

Alex Rodriguez has achieved great success since retiring from baseball. The former New York Yankees’ third baseman has expertly navigated the business industry. Furthermore, he has built an empire worth millions of dollars. But Rodriguez still has goals that he wants to achieve. Most recently, he made a bold Minnesota Timberwolves prediction while stating his goals for 2028. 

Although A-Rod has achieved much success, he still has ambitions as a businessman and NBA team owner. During a recent interview, he expressed some of that ambition.

Alex Rodriguez has achieved multi-faceted success. The millionaire has experienced success in business, baseball, and as a father. Most recently, he revealed what he hopes he will achieve by the year 2028. During an interview with Harry Stebbings, on his podcast, “20VC with Harry Stebbings”, he said that he will most likely be in his office with his great team. But A-Rod hopes to have won an NBA championship with his Minnesota Timberwolves by then.

During the interview, Rodriguez said, “Uh, I’m probably right here, at my office with a great team. And, hopefully with a World Championship for the Minnesota Timberwolves.” This showcases the ambition that the 2009 World Series champion still has. He has done a decent job as an owner thus far, making big moves to aim for team success.

The Timberwolves traded for Rudy Gobert, a move that seemed great but has not turned out that well. The team qualified for the Play-In game this season but narrowly missed the playoffs. Despite this, with A-Rod and Marc Lore at the helm, the team is destined for a bright future. 

It was A-Rod’s dream to own a sports team

Alex Rodriguez dreamt of owning a sports team. It was the ultimate goal for the former baseball star. When the New York Mets were put on the market, A-Rod and his business partner Marc Lore attempted to buy the team. Unfortunately, they lost out to Steve Cohen, with Rodriguez furious at how it turned out. But a short while later, A-Rod and Lore punched at the opportunity to buy the Timberwolves and the rest is history.
