Most recently, Alex Rodriguez shared an Instagram post with a video and pictures of Anthony Edwards signing his new, lucrative contract. In the caption of the post, Rodriguez said, ?The ant man is official ? @theanthonyedwards_? It was a special moment for the franchise and Edwards as they embarked on this new step in their journey.

Rod has spent a lot of time with his 21-year-old star guard, mentoring him. They were even seen sitting together earlier in the postseason while watching a game during the NBA Finals. However, the then-19-Year-Old Anthony knew nothing about A-Rod when the latter bought the Timberwolves in 2021.

Edwards did not know A-Rod when he first bought the team

In 2021, Alex Rodriguez completed the blockbuster deal to buy the Timberwolves in installments. Anthony Edwards did not know who he was when he first became the owner.

In a?Twitter video of 2021, Edwards said that he did not know about A-Rod other than that he was buying the team. Furthermore, he said that he didn?t know about baseball as well. However, the two have come a long way since then and formed a close bond.?
