Vladimir Guerrero Jr. just won the Home Run Derby at the All-Star weekend. It was a massive moment for the Blue Jays star as he beat Randy Arozarena in the final round. But ESPN made a gigantic blunder while interviewing Guerrero Jr. after the win.

In a graphic that appeared under his name on TV, they called him Cuban-born. Considering he was born in Montreal, Canada, this is a major oversight. Furthermore, he is of Dominican descent and is not from Cuba. MLB insider Hector Gomez pointed out the blunder via Twitter while replying to a picture highlighting the mistake. In a Tweet, Gomez said, “Cuban-born? 🤔”.

Guerrero Jr. joins his father in making history

By winning the Home Run Derby, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. joins his father as the only father-son duo to win the event. He took the title 16 years after Vladimir Guerrero Sr. won it in 2007.
