Punching down heavyweight opponents, the Phillies defied all expectations and are competing in the World Series.
The Phillies are facing off against last year’s World Series runners-up Houston Astros. The Astros, on the other hand, began this year’s campaign as one of the prime favorites. Having an unbeaten run in the postseason, the Astros proved why they deserve to be considered championship contenders. Schmidt played his entire MLB career for the Phillies, making 12 All-Star appearances and winning one World Series trophy. Erving once played NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, making 11 All-Star appearances and winning one tournament final trophy. Parent played NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers and now defunct Philadelphia Blazers. Notably, Schmidt, Erving, and Parent are all Hall Of Fame inductees in their respective sports. Whereas, Graham plays as the defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles, winning one Super Bowl to date.
