San Diego Padres sold NLDS Game 3 tickets for a whopping $13.9 million

As earlier mentioned, the Padres are running riots in the postseason. After losing Game 1 against their arch-rivals LA Dodgers in the ongoing NLDS, the Padres have bounced back with two consecutive wins in Game 2 and Game 3.

And now, they are on the verge of knocking out the best team in the 2022 regular season. Although the Padres won Game 2 and Game 3, and now they also have the lead in the division series, the Padres fans have paid an enormous price to watch Game 3.

Per Danny Vietti of CBS Sports, the average ticket price for Game 3 was $308. If one calculates the total amount from the ticket price, the amount reached $13.9 million.

Notably, this amount is the average salary of MLB players. And the Padres earned it in a night by selling their tickets at Petco Park.

Will the Padres seal the series in Game 4?

The San Diego Padres will play Game 4 in Dodger Stadium with a 2-1 lead on Saturday. And if things will go their way, the Padres might knock their division rival out of the postseason.
