Alex Rodriguez is generally not an angry personality both on the field and off of it. But the former Yankees third baseman was once left in a rage while trying to buy a baseball team. Rodriguez was furious because he felt the deal was not fair.

For those wondering, the deal in question is none other than his failed attempt at buying the MLB franchise New York Mets. A-Rod was unhappy with how he lost the bid and was convinced that there was foul play. Notably, the team was ultimately bought by Steve Cohen in a deal that A-Rod claimed was rigged.

Alex Rodriguez felt he lost the Mets deal unfairly

According to the New York Post’s Josh Kosman and Thornton McEnery, Alex Rodriguez and his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez both were disappointed and furious over how the Mets deal slipped out of their hands. And the two blamed the former Mets co-owner Saul Katz for the same. Furthermore, he was convinced that the Mets told Cohen the details of his bid so that the billionaire could bid higher.

Furthermore, he has been seen attending games regularly since becoming owner and was once seen with a special guest.
