The team has won 89 games in this regular reason, and the team they’re fighting against in NLCS, the Philadelphia Phillies, have also won less than 90 games. 

Recently, Padres pitcher Blake Snell fulfilled the dream of a 96-year-old fan of the team with an incredible gesture. The gesture was undeniably beautiful, that it melted the hearts of many.

What was the wish of a long-time San Diego Padres fan?

A woman on Instagram posted a reel of her 96-year-old grandma wanting to see the Padres play a championship game before she dies. The reel notably went viral and somehow reached the Padres’ pitcher Blake Snell. The star fulfilled her wish and brought her to see the Padres play in the second game of the NLCS. There, she could be seen watching the game while enjoying a beer.
