MLB legend Alex Rodriguez growing up only saw dreams of entering the business world and playing baseball professionally. Although A-Rod fulfilled both his dreams at only 18, after almost three decades, he has changed quite a lot. Alex ended his baseball career in the big league when he bid farewell in 2016. Since then, he has become completely devoted to his businesses and made his investment firm, A-Rod Corp, worth a massive $1 billion. The journey wasn’t easy but was filled with mistakes and lessons, and A-Rod faced them wholeheartedly. 

And now, the 47-year-old business magnate Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez is much different from what he was at 18. He has grown up, and recently, in an interview with ONE37pm, the former Yankee talked about multiple things, including how his personality has changed since being a teenage boy in the big league. 

How different is Alex Rodriguez from his 18-year-old self?

While being 18, A-Rod had already entered the big league and the business world. He founded his investment firm, A-Rod Corp, by selling his Rolex watches that he bought from his first salary from the big league. Since then, A-Rod’s life has had some drastic and beautiful changes. But in his recent interview, he talked about how his personality looks from the view of a teenager.

Talking about his personality, the 2009 World Series Champ said, “I would probably say a little bit more measured and buttoned up. While it’s sometimes fun to free flow a little bit, I would say not too much has changed.”

Looking back at the journey that A-Rod has had, the first thing that he will forever be remembered by would be his lengthy and storied career in baseball. He made mistakes and paid for them, but he also turned out to be one of the most fantastic players.

Having played 22 years in Major League Baseball, A-Rod has left a significant mark in the baseball world. After bidding farewell in 2016, he turned towards the business world, but his fame continued to increase in the entertainment industry as well. It was because of the influential women Alex dated after separating from his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis.
