Jung Hoo Lee – the lover of challenges in San Francisco Giants

Since his first news conference after signing with the Giants, Jung Hoo Lee has been winning the hearts of the Bay Bombers’ fans. First by proclaiming that he’s here to win and then by showing his love for the team by chanting “Let’s go Giants!” Now again Lee has shown his excitement by talking about the Oracle Park and how he’ll adjust to it.

Jung Hoo Lee is looking forward to playing in Oracle Park. Calling it “Huge and majestic”, Lee considers it one of America’s “most beautiful ballparks”. Even though the stadium is quite infamous for being pitcher-friendly, Lee is still excited about playing for one very big reason – his style of hitting.

Hoo Lee calls himself a gap-hitter and finds that the Oracle park will be advantageous for him. Saying that he can drive the ball in right-center or left-center gaps, it seems Lee is highly suitable for the park. Namely, because he is a huge base hitter but has never been a power hitter. In 2023 he averaged .318 but only hit 6 home runs.
