‘A Wife With Two Young Children Can Only Take So Much’- Alex Rodriguez’s Rumored Affair With ‘Queen of Pop’ Madonna Proved to Be the ‘Last Straw’ for Distressed Ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis

Alex Rodriguez, the player, has done wonders in the ballparks. With a career that spans over 22 years, A-Rod has entertained an era in Major League Baseball and had a very successful career. However, unlike his MLB career, A-Rod’s personal life has not been a fairy tale.

From marriage to divorce and multiple breakups, the former New York Yankees star has everything in his personal life. When talking about A-Rod’s marriage, he and his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis remained a married couple for over five years. The two even have two daughters together.

But what was the main reason that A-Rod and Scurtis ended their marriage? Many people might not know but several reports suggest that A-Rod was having an affair with pop star, Madonna. And when Cynthia got to know about this, she decided to end her marriage to the Yankees superstar.

Was Madonna the reason Alex Rodriguez and Cynthia Scurtis divorced?

To date, Alex Rodriguez has not confirmed whether he had an affair with Madonna during his marriage. However, per People.com, Cynthia blamed A-Rod for his romance with pop star Madonna.

A close aid of Cynthia confirmed to people.com that Cynthia left A-Rod. And a wife with two young children had no option other than separating her life from the then-Yankees slugger for his alleged affair with Madonna.

“Cynthia has left Alex,” the report said. “Let’s see if she goes for the divorce. He did make her sign a prenup. Cynthia is a strong person. But a wife with two young children can only take so much.”

A-Rod and Cynthia married in 2002 and five years after their marriage, the two ended their marriage in 2008. However, in the current scenario, A-Rod is still a good friend of his ex-wife, as they often go out for NBA games or family dinner with their children.

After his divorce from Cynthia, A-Rod also had a four-year relationship with Jennifer Lopez. But in 2021, she also called her engagement off with Alex Rodriguez. Currently, at 47, A-Rod is still a bachelor.
