Aaron Judge is widely considered a top MLB star today. His stellar individual play has earned him a spot among the League’s best players. But Judge has been unable to taste team success during his time with the New York Yankees. Despite this, the team’s manager Aaron Boone selected the outfielder for a list, including Derek Jeter and two other legends.

During this past off-season, Judge signed a $360 million deal to stay with the Yankees. His aim was to further build his legacy with the team while aiming to win a World Series. But even without a title, Boone puts Judge on one of his elite lists.

Aaron Boone selects Aaron Judge for his top Yankees players list, including Jeter, Ruth, and Gehrig

The Yankees have seen numerous legendary players over the years. Most recently, the team’s manager Aaron Boone was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of Bronx Bombers players. Aaron Judge made this list alongside Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, and Lou Gehrig. This is despite Judge’s lack of championship success during his career. Boone named his Mount Rushmore of players during an interview with baseball content creator Chris Henderson.

In the interview, Boone said, “Wow. Ruth, Gehrig, Judge, Jeter, how about that?” The Yankees’ manager took a couple of seconds to think about it before rattling off these 4 names. Furthermore, he seemed content with these names. Judge is the only player on this list that does not have a championship.

Before the current MLB season started, the Yankees were one of a handful of favorites to win the Series. But now that has changed, as the Bombers have gone through a difficult start to the season. Lately, they have pulled it back with several good results in the last couple of weeks. But it may be difficult to win the World Series this year. They fell one step short in 2022.

Judge and the Yankees were knocked out in the ALCS last season

Aaron Judge led the Yankees to a 99-win season in 2022. Furthermore, the team also made a deep playoff run but were knocked out in the ALCS. They were one step away from the World Series but were defeated at the last hurdle. This season they have struggled a little, but the team has picked up some form in recent games. It will be interesting to see if Judge and the Yankees can make a World Series run this year.
