The 2023 MLB season is a big one for Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees. Judge is in the first year of his captaincy and is looking to make an impact. The Yankees have looked good to start the season, winning 8 games and losing 4. Most recently, their captain celebrated a massive away series win with a social media post. 

Be it batting or fielding, Judge is doing his best to lead the Bronx Bombers from the front. His batting in particular has been great as he displays his superstar-level swing. But winning is important and the Yankees’ captain recently enjoyed a big win.

Aaron Judge celebrates the away series win over the Cleveland Guardians

The New York Yankees recently won 2 of their 3 consecutive away games against the Cleveland Guardians. This was a big away series win as they return home to host the Minnesota Twins for four straight games. Aaron Judge celebrated the win in an Instagram Post, celebrating his first away-series win as captain. Judge shared an amazing montage of highlights to honor the series win. But he also looks forward to returning to Yankee Stadium. 

In an Instagram post, Judge said, “Great series in Cleveland! Excited to get back home!⚾️⚾️”. So far, Judge has won fans over as the Yankees’ new captain. He has interacted with the team’s young prospects, prioritized Spring Training over the World Baseball Classic, and has generally looked like a leader.

Furthermore, he has performed well, both in terms of batting and in the field. There was a lot of pressure on Judge, following his new $360 million contract. Fans and experts alike wondered if he would live up to his deal in his current season. So far, there do not seem to be any issues with either. But there is a long way to go about his deal. 

Judge and the Yankees have steadied their results in recent weeks

Like many teams, there were a lot of questions being asked about the New York Yankees’ 2023 season. Although a deep playoff run and a World Series appearance seem to be the goal, there were a lot of question marks to begin the season with. But in recent weeks, the Yankees have managed to get some steady results and climb to an 8-4 win-loss record.
