Aaron Judge is coming off a brilliant 2022 season. Given this will be his first season after landing a $360 million contract, the expectations will be sky-high from the New York Yankees captain. Aaron Judge will help the New York Yankees develop Steinbrenner Field
In a move that perhaps no New York Yankees fan saw coming, Aaron Judge will be helping develop Steinbrenner field. Furthermore, the Yankees captain will provide insight into renovations in player areas at the team’s Spring Training facility. MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch reported the news via Twitter. Team owner Hal Steinbrenner seemingly wants to upgrade the training facilities.
Steinbrenner said that Judge will help with renovating/improving player areas, such as the clubhouse and training room.

In a Tweet, Hoch said, “Hal Steinbrenner said that Aaron Judge has been involved in the planning for upcoming renovations at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. They want to incorporate some of the things the Blue Jays did to update their park in Dunedin.”
He then replied to this Tweet with more clarification, saying, “Steinbrenner said that Judge will help with renovating/improving player areas, such as the clubhouse and training room. ‘The concern was, we’re kind of falling behind a lot of other teams that have newer facilities, like Toronto. I’m not one that ever wants to be secondary.’”
This is a big move from the Yankees owners, as they look to keep their training facilities up to date. Furthermore, Judge is now responsible for one more thing. This adds to his duties as a player and captain. He is also learning a new position. But fans are a little baffled by the move to involve him in the renovations.
