Notably, Judge breaking the single-season home-run record in the American League is nothing but a celebration for the Yankees fans. And since he is just one big hit away from the historical record, broadcasters are not missing any chance to miss Judge’s at-bat. However, football fans might find this irritating.

Earlier on Saturday, ESPN was broadcasting a college football game. But all of a sudden, in the middle of the game, ESPN started showing Judge’s at-bats. And they did not take it lightly. Football fans criticized ESPN for the same.

Notably, if someone is watching a different sport and suddenly, the broadcaster starts showing something they might not be interested in, they can get frustrated. And the same happened on Saturday when ESPN started broadcasting Judge’s at-bats from the Yankees v/s Red Sox game after cutting the football game.

One fan even questioned the broadcaster for indirectly valuing the Yankees more compared to other MLB teams. They were so angry that they even wished that Aaron Judge will never hit the 61st home run this season.
There is nothing I care less about than a Yankees record, especially the day after Pujols made actual history. After today I hope Judge never gets that 61st home run

This cutting to him in every at bat is ridiculous. Just show us the highlight when he hits it. I don’t need to see it live or I’d just turn on the game.

I seriously dont understand this. Except for the fact its the Yankees, why is this a big deal. Not even setting the MLB record. Will they show when a player is about to set the Astros HR record?
— Ron Hopkins (@ronhop88) September 24, 2022
Currently, Judge is on the verge of writing his name in the record book. If he manages to hit just two home runs this season, he will have the single-season AL home-run record in his name.
