Aaron Judge smashed his historic home run in the last game of the regular season against the Texas Rangers. Despite having accomplished a new league record, he is still far from the ultimate milestone. Roger Maris set the MLB seasonal home run record with 61 homers in the American League in 1961.

But the overall seasonal home run record is still being held by Barry Bonds. In 2001, Bonds smashed his way to a massive seasonal home run tally of 73 homers. Judge is still miles away from Bonds’ record. But the record is neither untouchable nor unbreakable. 

Therefore, challenging Judge to break the overall MLB record is his father himself and the target set is 80 homers.
