“I can see that there’s something special here,” were Alex Bregman’s words when he signed a three-year, $120 million contract with the Red Sox. Well, he was not entirely wrong. The Red Sox certainly brought a special accolade for him, not just in the form of a contract, but as an opportunity to etch his name in Fenway folklore. Hitting his career homer No. 200 this week, Bregman has now joined the elite club!

Naturally, Bregman’s achievement is attracting the best praise from fans and critics alike. However, one that stands out is that of his wife, Reagan Bregman. While fans watch their favorite hitter from a distant lens, it is Reagan who has witnessed his ups and downs from their university days.

Proud.” Reagan captioned a story on Instagram with the 200th home run ball in hand. This gesture serves as a reminder that she remains his biggest cheerleader to date. Reagan’s 84.8K followers certainly resonated with her feeling of pride.

This isn’t the first time Reagan has showered support on husband Alex. She has often shared gameday moments to cheer for Alex and his team. Just this April, during the opening weekend, she posted an Instagram carousel featuring pictures with their son, Knox, along with shots from the stadium. The two could be seen enjoying the gameday, and later celebrating as a family!

When Reagan first met Alex in 2013, little did she know that one day, she would be congratulating her partner on his 200th home run. The two crossed paths at UCLA, where Alex was an aspiring Baseball player, and Reagan was a standout softball player. Twelve years later, the two have been constant supporters of one another. From celebrating Alex’s World Series title with the Astros to parenting their two kids, their partnership has remained strong through both the highs and the lows.

For those who have missed the game against the Rangers on May 7, Alex Bregman’s milestone moment did not just mark his HR No. 200, it also helped the Red Sox. Looking for a much-needed boost, the team was struggling in the fourth inning with a 2-2 count. And this is where Bregman launched a splitter from Rangers starter Tyler Mahle. Incidentally, it was his ninth homer of the season and a loud reminder to the Fenway crowd. The reminder that even in a new uniform, Bregman remains one of the most consistent and clutch third basemen in the game. His .327 batting average and 30 RBIs are a testament to that reliability.

Is Alex Bregman the key to the Red Sox's resurgence, or just another high-priced gamble?

It’s cool, just glad it helped the team win, to be honest.”
