According to a source, once Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez opted to convert to Buddhism. The reason was his love for Kate Hudson. The two briefly dated back in 2009. 

Hudson is reportedly a practicing Buddhist. So when ‘A-Rod’ was dating Hudson, he made a big decision for himself. He opted to change religion and convert to Buddhism. All just to make his then-girlfriend happy. 

A source close to Hudson, told US Weekly, “It’s an important part of her life. And, it seems like Alex just wants to make her happy.”
