Alex Rodriguez and LeBron James are two of the biggest names in their respective sports. One is a former MLB player, while the other is a prominent face of the NBA. In his playing days, A-Rod was probably the best MLB player. The Yankees legend ruled an era in MLB.
Being such influential personalities as A-Rod and LeBron are, their presence and absence also affect the game. Their impact is so significant that they can affect the viewership. For example, had A-Rod not played in the 2009 World Series, ratings might not have been that big. The same goes with LeBron too.

However, A-Rod thinks that LeBron’s time might be over in the NBA, as the young players have taken over the Lakers’ star. Recently, the Yankees legend said that without LeBron in the NBA postseason, ratings have been even better.
Did Alex Rodriguez take an indirect dig at LeBron James?
Earlier this year, when LA Lakers got eliminated from the playoff contention, broadcasters thought their ratings would go down. Because with the Lakers out from the postseason, it also means that LeBron James will not play the playoff games. But surprisingly, the ratings are even better. Notably, the NBA has got the best ratings this season.
Taking this into account, A-Rod said that the young players have been performing exceptionally well this season. And that’s why the ratings are much better. He took the name of Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, and Anthony Edwards, who have been enjoying their wonderful run.
