Both pop icons Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey have a tension between them that is lingering for over two decades now. The feud that Lopez and Carey have is in a way similar to what their ex-boyfriends, Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter. But being different from them, JLo and the Songbird Supreme never were friends like the former Yankees. Just like the way Rodriguez and Jeter are often asked about their friendship, Carey and Lopez also do. Intentionally or not, the two singers over the years have found ways to put down each other.

In 2013, Carey was said to have publicly humiliated Lopez for not standing up for her American Idol performance. Two years after the incident, JLo had apparently returned the favor.

Fortunately or not, Lopez was seated not so far away from Carey. As Carey’s performance went on, JLo was spotted scrolling on her phone. This just added fuel to the ongoing fire that was the relationship between Carey and Lopez.

After that incident, it was said that Lopez took her revenge in the best way she knew how. JLo had returned the favor. Interestingly, when she was asked about her revenge, she had something entirely different to say.

Sometime after Lopez apparently took her revenge, she had spoken to TV personality Andy Cohen about it. JLo said, “That was not fair with the whole texting thing. It was a long performance!”
