The name Alex Rodriguez does not need any introduction in the MLB, business, or even entertainment world. The former baseball player, has achieved so much till now that his name is enough to tell everything about him. Be it his career or personal life, almost everything is out in the open. 

His relationship with the megastar, Jennifer Lopez, was the talk of the town, ever since they rekindled their friendship back in 2017. Even if they are not in a relationship today, they are still talked about personalities even today.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Jennifer and Alex talked about various things. It included their first ever meeting, along with which team Jennifer has a liking for.

Alex Rodriguez did his best to make Jennifer awkward

When the then couple sat down to answer questions for Vanity Fair, there were many things they talked about, including their favorite dance moves, A-Rod being a stylist, and beyond.

One of the questions was about the time when the couple met for the first time. To this, Jennifer replied, “On the baseball field, Yankees were playing the Mets.” Then, the next question made JLo think through things, she got asked about the New York team for which she was rooting.  

Without giving a direct answer, the actress said, “I had a Yankee hat on, my dad is a huge Mets fan, my grandmother is a Mets or no Yankees fan. So we’d like our family was split, which was funny.” That’s when the former baseball player chimed in and told his then-girlfriend that she (interviewer) did not ask about her family. After this, she had to give a direct answer.

“I’m a Yankees fan,” she said.

Having played for three different franchises, A-Rod got retired from the game, while he was with the New York Yankees. Hearing the answer his girlfriend gave, he thanked her for it.

Why Alex and JLo did not date when they first met?

The two first met before a Yankees v/s Mets game in 2005. At the time, both of them were married. Alex was with his then-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, while Jennifer was married to singer, Marc Anthony.
