She married Affleck after separating from Alex Rodriguez. Many consider the two to be rivals. However, it seems their rivalry is not limited to it only but also extended to the baseball pitch.

The reason behind it is Affleck’s love for the Boston Red Sox. And showing this, he once ditched the idea of wearing the New York Yankees cap even for the movie scene. According to the New York Times, Ben told this to the director David Fincher “I will not wear a Yankees hat. I just can’t…can’t wear it because it’s going to become a thing, David… will never hear the end of it. I can’t do it.’ And I couldn’t put it on my head.”

Pointing toward his love for the Red Sox, he said, “And it was a legitimate fight.” Given that Rodriguez played for the Yankees, it added to their rivalry. However, there was a time when the two rivals shared a similar space like friends.
