Despite an iconic career in which he played elite baseball, A-Rod’s off-field issues impacted his Cooperstown chances. In this year’s ballot, the New York Yankees legend was hopeful to make it, but the latest update has quashed those dreams.
Rodriguez has opened up about making it to Cooperstown and revealed that it is a true dream of his. But during his years on the ballot so far, he has fallen short. Now, in a latest update, the Yankees legend will seemingly have to wait longer to see if he still has a shot.

With the Hall of Fame ballots being revealed in less than a week, many top sites have tracked votes. Most recently, MLB Network revealed a portion of the votes and how many each legend has received. According to the latest update, Alex Rodriguez is set to miss out during his 3rd time on the ballot. MLB Network shared a video on X, with the votes for the top 10 right now. A-Rod is at 40.5% which is far off the required 75% to make it.

Furthermore, this is only a portion of the votes and although it can increase, Alex Rodriguez is unlikely to make it. If he holds on at this percentage or increases, it will be the first time A-Rod crosses the 40% mark. This is a milestone for the Yankees legend but also will be an indicator of how far he is from the 75% mark.
