Back in 2010 and 2011, the former New York Yankees star, dated the renowned Hollywood actress, Cameron Diaz. The two were in a relationship for almost two years. But when things started becoming more serious between them, A-Rod reportedly backed out from the commitment.

Since Cameron Diaz truly loved A-Rod and wanted to spend more time with A-Rod, the Charlie’s Angels actress used her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, to get close to A-Rod once again.

Per Larry Brown Sports, when Alex Rodriguez broke up with his then-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz, she could not handle it. On one hand, Diaz was desperate for a commitment from A-Rod, while on the other hand, A-Rod did not want to commit to any woman.

So to get A-Rod back into the relationship, Diaz started getting close to her ex-flame, Justin Timberlake. She did this to make A-Rod jealous. Notably, the Charlie’s Angels actor had dated Timberlake for over three years in the past.

A source close to Diaz even said that she bruised A-Rod’s ego by doing this. But it only turned out to be a failed attempt from Diaz.

“Alex’s ego has been bruised,” the source said. “He was afraid she’d dump him for Justin, so he’s making amends. Cam didn’t want to play games with him, but she has Alex exactly where she wants him.”

Later, in 2015, Diaz married musician, Benji Assessment, while Alex Rodriguez is still single. Albeit, the former Yankees star has been reportedly seeing a young fitness model, Kathryne Padgett.
