Who knew that so close to October, the MLB world would be talking about the Phillies’ Karen rather than the scoreboards? But here we are. Well, you must have heard or seen the viral clip of a woman wearing a Phillies t-shirt berating a dad and a son, who were celebrating his birthday, and snatching away the home run ball?

Well, she took the ball and went along. But the baseball world went detective, trying to find this person. There have been several names coming forth, but nothing solid. It turns out that a company is literally offering money for her to come forward. And in return, she even gets paid. But there is a twist.

She will only get the money if she hands over the ball with her autograph and writes, “I am sorry” on it.

And well, this offer comes from Blowout Cards, which is a major trading retailer. They have made it clear in their offer,Our offer is official, and the offer is firm.” The company also wants to return the ball to the child. The 9-year-old sure did get a bat signed by Bader himself, but has expressed his sadness over losing the ball.

The father even apologized to his son for taking away the ball, but mentioned it had to be done. And the drama all just started when the Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader hit a homer into the left field stands. The ball had bounced, and four fans went to catch it, but eventually Lincoln’s dad, aka Drew Feltwell, scooped it up and placed it on his son’s glove. That could have been the end, but her actions turned this into a viral controversy.

And before anyone thinks about why the dad didn’t fight for the ball, the Karen essentially was in his face. At that point Feltwell mentioned he had two choices: either to make a scene or show his son how to de-escalate situations—and that’s what he did.

So who is Phillies Karen? Internet scrambles to find her!

The mystery of the Phillies’ Karen is still a mystery for now. After she took the home run ball, the online sleuths have been on a mission to find her. But unlike the other incidents, this one hasn’t been so easy to solve. You see, just recently, Polish CEO Piotr Szczerek was caught taking a signed tennis ball from a kid at the US Open. He then quickly apologized after his identity was revealed. But in the Phillies Karen case, the lady must be a good spy, or the detective work is not really working out.

Is Phillies 'Karen' a villain or just misunderstood in this home run ball saga?

One of the names that’s been thrown around was Cheryl Richardson Wagner. And for a while, the internet went crazy and revealed her LinkedIn, her address, and even more. But she herself, through Facebook, shut down those comments. In a red background, she posted, “OK everyone…I’m NOT the crazy Philly Mom (but I sure would love to be as thin as she is and move as fast)…and I’m a Red Sox fan.” But it’s not just here.

Since her, there was another claim that a woman by the name of Leslie Ann Kravitz fits the bill perfectly. She was apparently a teacher at Hammonton Public School in New Jersey. News also came about how she was fired from her job. But the district himself came out with the statement, “The woman identified on social media as ‘Phillies Karen’ is not, and has never been, an employee of the Hammonton Public Schools.” Well, two times a miss! So for now, the Karen remains anonymous.
