Everything is happening in Game 6 of the World Series. The game is between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays, but it looks like the fans are unable to hold their emotions back and are letting them flow. And guess what, it is showing on the field, literally. But that was not the only thing that caught the fans’ eye. News just came in that a fan ran onto the field during Game 6 but was taken down by security.

A fan on X posted the video with the caption, “Fan running on the field at the Jays Dodgers World Series game.” The thing that caught the eye of many American fans was that, during all the tussling, the American flag the fan was carrying ended up on the ground. And a security picked it up, crushed it into a ball, and kept it in his hand.
The sixth inning of Game 6 at Rogers Center turned chaotic when a spectator leaped from the left-center field fence, falling nearly thirteen feet onto the warning track. He stumbled briefly before running toward the field, trying to pull an American flag from his pocket but dropping it mid-stride. Dodgers outfielders Tommy Edman and Kiké Hernández immediately signaled for help as three security guards tackled him to the ground.

The fan’s actions came as the Toronto Blue Jays were batting, their home crowd already deafening in anticipation of a possible title. The intruder’s brief dash drew a mix of cheers and boos before four security guards and two police officers escorted him away. The crumpled flag, seized by security, symbolized a night when emotion briefly overran order inside a charged stadium.

As calm returned, Blue Jays broadcaster Buck Martinez delivered a cutting one-liner that instantly went viral. “It’s Halloween, and he’s dressed up as a clown because he is a clown,” Martinez joked, perfectly capturing the absurdity of the moment. His remark, though playful, summed up the chaos that had briefly taken over Rogers Center.
And truth be told, this wasn’t the first time a fan has caused mayhem on the diamond. Just a few months earlier, on June 5, 2025, a spectator sprinted onto the field at Dodger Stadium during the eighth inning of a Dodgers-Mets game, bringing play to a halt before being tackled by security. Dodgers Nation shared the clip online, as the stunned crowd reacted with equal parts disbelief and amusement — a reminder that wild fan interruptions are nothing new in baseball.

As the field finally settled, Yamamoto took the mound once more, with Edman and Hernández back in their positions. Order was restored, but the tension remained thick. And as Buck Martinez quipped, some fans seem more eager to chase headlines than Yamamoto’s fastball speeding toward home plate.

World Series Anthem sparks outrage after Rufus Wainwright’s lyric twist
Every anthem has its moment, but some hit a few unexpected notes before the first pitch. As the World Series rolled on in Los Angeles, one performance managed to unite Canada, not in pride, but in collective disbelief. The Toronto Blue Jays might be chasing baseball glory, but before Game 5 even began, it was the national anthem itself that stole the spotlight and sparked a national debate.
Game 5 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium began with a moment that divided fans nationwide. Montreal-raised singer Rufus Wainwright performed O Canada in English and French but altered key lyrics unexpectedly. He sang “that only us command” instead of the official “in all of us command,” followed by missteps in the French portion that many described as “gibberish.”
Canadian viewers quickly took to Reddit and X, calling the rendition disrespectful and poorly executed. Their frustration echoed earlier in the series when JP Saxe sang “our home on Native land” before Game 3. With two anthem controversies in five games, fans began questioning why O Canada keeps becoming a stage for creative liberties instead of national pride.
As the Blue Jays inch closer to history, Canada debates lyrics instead of lineups. Rufus Wainwright’s brief anthem twist now echoes louder than a ninth-inning home run. Maybe the World Series didn’t just test Toronto’s nerves, but Canada’s patience with artistic freedom.
