New York Yankees Captain Aaron Judge is often found at sporting events that are not baseball. And when that event has his wife, Samantha Bracksieck as a participant, he is sure to be found cheering on the sidelines. So when the TCS New York City Marathon rolled around, he was waiting for Bracksieck at the finish line. The slugger’s wife took part in her second consecutive marathon run and Judge was there to support her with a known face accompanying him.

The cameras caught “All Rise” when he met Samantha after she finished the 26.2-mile run. The couple, generally private about their lives, gave fans a rare wholesome sighting this offseason. Joining his Yankees teammate in the crowds was another Bronx Bomber, Anthony Rizzo.

Usually keeping mum about their private lives, Judge and Bracksieck’s only public appearances have to do with public events. The couple was last spotted at the New York Knicks season opener at the Madison Square Garden on October 25. Events like these are the only places where fans can get a glimpse of them owing to both of their love sports.

This time around, Anthony Rizzo was there not just to support his friend but also because of a personal reason. His wife Emily too was a participant in the marathon, running for the first time for a good cause.

Rizzo too was caught on camera at the finish line. Emily Rizzo was running her first marathon on behalf of the “Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.” Of course, her husband, who is a cancer survivor, would be present in the crowds, cheering her on. Emily revealed to the New York Post that as this was her first time running the marathon, she took advice from Bracksieck.

“I have gone to her throughout this entire process and asked her a gazillion questions about what the day looks like…what her training looks like,” Emily said. “she’s really been a support system for me and given me a lot of good experience advice.”

This is another evidence of the close relationship between Judge and Rizzo. Anthony Rizzo famously was the one who was guiding the 16th Yankees captain during his free agency. That’s when he signed a record $360 million contract with the Pinstripes. Their bond is growing with time and the Bronx faithful love it. The only question is, will this bond help turn the team around next season?
