After making his debut in April 2001 with the St Louis Cardinals, Big Al will be retiring as a Cardinals player. Having played mostly for the Red Birds, ‘The Machine’ hit his 703rd career homer and took the fourth spot in the all-time home runs leaders list. 

And now, while looking at the statistics only of this season, even at the age of 42, Pujols has passed eight of his fellow baseball players, all of whom are less than 30.
