Cleats are a very personalized thing for baseball players. Most stars have designs, styles, and particular cleats that they prefer wearing. This includes Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr., who is in excellent form this season. Most recently, Acuna Jr. revealed some of the special aspects of his cleats that make them one of a kind.

The Braves’ star outfielder has been in great form this season and has led the team from the front. Both his batting and fielding have been top-notch thus far. This most recent interview gave people a look at the cleats that help him achieve his amazing plays. 

Ronald Acuna Jr. reveals what’s special about his cleats

The Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr., who is known for his electric play, most recently, opened up about the special features that his Nike cleats have that are unique to him. He loves his Special make-up shoes as he can pick a design that goes with his glove and sleeve. MLB Network shared a snippet of Acuna Jr. talking about his cleats on “Kickin It” presented by Nike. 

In the video, he says, “These are the home club, the home club. These shoes have my name and date of birth. The yellow color that I always liked, with various designs like with blue. A little fluorescent like red, what suits my gloves. In here, if you can see, the Venezuelan flag, always representing my country. Inside I have the logo, the number 13. Back here I have the design of the beast. It’s something I feel good about. I feel comfortable because I can design my shoes my way.”

Acuna Jr. also talked about his away cleats, which have the same features but were more fluorescent red. He also talked about the history behind his nickname “The Beast”, saying that it originated from his teammates. They call him that when he is doing well. This season, he must be hearing it a lot considering his great form and big hits.

MLB Insider Russell Dorsey has named Ronald Acuna Jr. his NL MVP after 50 games. The Braves star has been in great form this season and has helped carry his team to the top of the NL East. The MLB insider cited the Braves star’s statistics thus far, which show how well he has played. Dorsey made a bold prediction for Acuna Jr., saying that he will get 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases.
