Baseball fans are once again furious at Aaron Boone. While his days behind a bat in a Yankees jersey may have earned him praise, fans are certainly not happy with his decisions in the front office. The Bronx Bombers just yielded yet another game after what has been a series of losses. Social media has been abuzz with Boone under fire, especially after his latest response to the media.

Moreover, the recent 10-2 victory of the Seattle Mariners has left many Yankee fans embarrassed of supporting the team.

Words can make or break the reputation of a player or a team and at this moment, Aaron Boone seems to be failing at his.

After the embarrassing loss to Seattle, the Yankees’ manager spoke to some reporters. When one asked him how infuriating the loss was like that, Boone answered, “An awful day at the park for us. We gotta dig in, get Domingo [German] back on line…”  Further he spoke about how losing at home feels like.

“But also, you know, you’re in the arena, and you get punched in the mouth and it’s not fun to go through something like that, especially at home…but it should harden you and hopefully serve you well and sharpen those intentions.”

German gave up eight earned runs over 3.1 innings while the offense struggled without their captain. With a total of five hits, fans are missing the offensive power that Aaron Judge brought to the team.

Boone has never been popular with fans, although it’s a side effect that comes with the job. Even so, he has lately been receiving more flak than ever, especially after the above comments. Some fans called him the worst manager, while others are simply mad at him.

One seemed to mock the comment while one empathized with him, saying how he couldn’t do much for the current team, anyway.

All most fans really want to see is Aaron Judge comeback. Although there were rumors that the Yankees captain may make it back before July 11’s All-Star game, nothing can be said for certain. However, progress is being made, so maybe fans still have some hope left.
