One of the most famous relationships in MLB that stayed in the headlines throughout their relationship is between Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez. Both of them have never shied away from showing off their love for one another. While their relationship lasted, and even after it, Alex had nothing but respect and kind words for the actress. 

Two years back, Alex, in association with Dan ‘Big Cat’ Katz, hosted a seven episodes podcast series with guests such as NBA legend Kobe Bryant, Barbara Corcoran, etc. One of those seven guests also included Rodriguez’s ex-fiance Jennifer Lopez.

Alex and JLo were the kind of couple that used to leave each other jolted over their sweet gestures. And once unknowingly, A-Rod left his fiancee completely surprised when he asked her a question.

What was the question by Alex Rodriguez that left Jennifer shocked?

During the podcast, Big Cat and Alex asked Jen a lot of questions, including the first thing she would have done had she acquired the New York Mets with Alex. But a question by Alex left her awestruck.

A-Rod has asked her to think of her talents and then tell “one or two characteristics that you got positive ones from Lupe and one from David (JLo’s parents).” This maybe was a unique question that she never got asked before. Because before answering, she showed her appreciation for the former athlete. 

In her words, “That’s a good question baby. Baby, you’re so good at this… You are so good at this.”

She continued by saying that whenever she got asked a question that she’s never heard before, it never ceases to impress her. Therefore, unknowingly or not, Alex surprised her yet another time. 

What would have Jennifer done if she and Alex had bought the Mets?

After telling everyone of their biggest achievement, she said the first thing would be to get to know the audience. According to her, everything they would have done would eventually be to cater to the fans only. So, getting to know the fans was the thing she would have done.

But unfortunately, A-Rod and Jen lost out to billionaire Steve Cohen and could not buy the Mets. But Alex did become the co-owner of the NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves.
