Baltimore Orioles might have been the worst-performing franchise in the history of Major League Baseball. Even in the ongoing MLB season, the Orioles are at the bottom of the American League East. However, their off-field situations are even worse than their league record.

Earlier this week, there were reports that Louis Angelos — son of the Orioles owner, Peter Angelos — has been fighting a legal battle with his brother John Angelos and mother Georgia Angelos for allegedly moving the franchise to a different city. But John Angelos, the CEO of the Orioles, has issued a statement and clarified that the Orioles will never leave Baltimore.

Notably, the Agelos family has been the owner of the Baltimore Orioles for over 100 years (since 1903). Peter Angelos (93) is still the owner of the MLB side. But because of health reasons, Peter’s sons, John and Louis Angelos, and his wife, Georgia, took the control of the ownership.

Per CBS Sports, John Angelos, the Orioles CEO, issued a statement and clarified that the Orioles will remain in the Camden Yards. Angelos said Baltimore has been the only city that will ever be home to the Orioles.

“I want to assure our Orioles players and coaches, our dedicated front office Senior Leadership Team, and staff… that the Orioles will never leave,” the statement said. “From 33rd Street to Camden Yards, the Birds of Baltimore… will forever remain in the only city that our family and our partnership group has called, or will ever call, home…”

Notably, Luis Angelos had sued his brother and mother for taking over the control of the team. Luis also alleged that his brother is deciding against their father’s will.

Yes! It is an achievement because the Yankees have emerged as the strongest team in the entire MLB this season. The good thing is that they don’t have to play the Yankees anymore this season. Because the series’ win against the Yankees might have been a fluke.

Given their current form, where do you see the Orioles by the end of the season?
