Although Aaron Judge is a gentleman of the game, his recent comment about the Camden Yards has sparked a new cold war in MLB. Notably, in the second game of the recent series against the Baltimore Orioles, Aaron Judge hit could not cross the left-field wall of the Camden Yards because of its additional dimensions.

Now, the Orioles’ outfielder Anthony Santander has hit a walk-off home run to the same left-field wall at the Camden Yards. This hit from Santander not only won the game for the Orioles, but he also gave a befitting reply to the Yankees slugger, who complained about the additional dimensions.

The Baltimore Orioles might be a below-average side in MLB. But they certainly know a thing or two about how to beat the Yankees. They remain the only MLB side to defeat the Yankees in a series.

The Orioles give a befitting reply to Aaron Judge

During the 2022 off-season, the Orioles made a few changes to their left-field wall in the Camden Yards. They shifted the left-field wall 30-foot farther from the home plate and also increased the height of the wall by 5-foot. So it is quite obvious if Aaron Judge had difficulties hitting a home run to the left-field.

But the Orioles’ star Anthony Santander smacked a home run towards the left field and gave a befitting reply to Judge’s “create a new ballpark” comment. Santander hit a walk-off home run for the Orioles and won the game.

Though Santander hit a game-winning walk-off home run towards the left-field, it is difficult for others. Per MLB Fox, in the 2021 season, batters hit 18 home runs to left field in the first 19 games at the Camden Yards.

The Orioles won the fourth and last game of the series by 9-6 against the New York Yankees. But do you think the Orioles made a mistake by changing the dimensions of the left-field wall?
