Handling a career and family can be hard for anyone but some handle it like pros. Gerrit Cole, the Yankees’ ace, is one of those people. The 32-year-old is as talented a player as they come and has a strong presence in the clubhouse. But more than that, he occupies place in people’s hearts for his sweet family moments on the field.
Cole is married to Amy Crawford, former UCLA softball player and the sister of the Giants’ shortstop Brandon Crawford. The couple has two sons, born in June 2020 and January 2023. With a career in Major League Baseball, anyone would understand if he couldn’t pay as much attention to his family. But the pitcher makes time for them and they often support him on the field. And the Cole family had another moment that melted fans’ hearts recently.

Most people thought the moment of him talking about his son was wholesome.
You could sense the moment as Cole speaks he wanted to tear up. A feeling I wish I could've had if I had a son to look over and see your kid smiling. I admire all fathers and mothers out there. When your having a bad day, just look over to the Lil one smiling.
