The 10th anniversary of Aaron Judge being drafted by the Yankees just passed

Aaron Judge is one of the Yankees’ most talented players ever. He has achieved what many baseball players could only dream of while playing in pinstripes. Furthermore, he has cemented his place in history with his $360 million franchise record contract. Most recently, the 10th anniversary of Judge being drafted by the Yankees passed. Talkin’ Yanks shared a video of the iconic franchise-altering moment on Twitter. Even at that point, analysts were gushing over his height and agility in the outfield. 

In a Tweet, they said, “The Yankees drafted Aaron Judge with the #32 overall pick ten years ago today”. Although many had high expectations for Judge given his talent and attitude, very few could have predicted his career trajectory.

This past off-season, Aaron Judge had the chance to sign for whatever team he wanted. There was no shortage of suitors for the star outfielders’ signature. But Judge chose to sign with the Yankees and commit the rest of his prime and possibly his career to the team. Furthermore, he valued his legacy over any money that he left on the table by signing with the Bronx Bombers. He has etched his name in Yankees and MLB history. Only time will tell how the rest of his career in pinstripes pans out.
