A legend is someone that needs no introduction. That legend is none other than the Hall of Famer, Derek Jeter. 

When a person becomes a legend, it is natural to have people talk about him. Many have talked about Jeter and still talk about him as a person, his career, and also his professional life.

 Considering Jeter has done equally amazing things when he played for the New York Yankees and after he got retired.

Derek Jeter had the most incredible career

Out of the many people that talk about Jeter, there is one Major League Baseball pundit, who also talked about him, and considers him one of the best.

Fox Sports contributor, Tom Rinaldi, joined Colin Cowherd to talk about his docuseries,  “Tom Rinaldi Presents: Wesley,” among other things. There, Colin asked Rinaldi about what he thought of Jeter.

 “Better when it mattered more, and best when it mattered most. That’s Derek Jeter,” he said“It’s an incredible incredible career and the grace with which he handled the scrutiny and the spotlight of the New York stage.”

Jeter always wanted to play for the New York Yankees from his childhood, and he worked hard enough to fulfill his dream. In the first draft of MLB in 1992, Derek Jeter got drafted to the New York Yankees and stayed with them till his retirement in 2014.

He got inducted into the Hall of Fame and also got his jersey retired. He left his legacy behind for others to follow and look up to.

Other players looked up to Jeter

When you become an icon, it is natural for people to look up to you. And want to become like you.

The NFL royalty, Eli Manning, looked up to Jeter as an archetype and how he handled the press in New York City. Being an NFL royalty, it was hard for him to manage the press and his career. He was also criticized to follow up in the footsteps of his brother and father. 

The influence of Jeter rubbed off on Manning, and he thanked him for it as well.
