For a team like the New York Yankees with such a rich and glorious history, the last few seasons have been rather disappointing. But with Aaron Judge stepping up to the helm, the fresh entry of youngsters in Anthony Volpe, and the timely exit of Aaron Hicks, the Pinstripes embark on a new journey as they enter a new season, and prospectively, a brand new Yankee era.

On Opening Day, after DJ LeMahieu was struck out at the start of the first, Aaron Judge reached the box. Borrowed straight from a fable, after letting the first pitch go, Judge swung, and without any effort, managed to clear the fence and took his first walk around the bases in 2023. As planned, the Yankees conquered the Giants in the first game without allowing them to score a single run.

However, game two of the Pinstripes’ opening series dictated a different story, with the Giants coming back to beat the Yanks 7-5 in the Bronx.
