MLB Fans Thrilled Over New York Yankees’ Recent Free-Agent Acquisition of Former Giants Player for $162 Million- “Best Rotation in MLB”

By adding the current best pitcher in the market, New York Yankees are on their way to having a power-packed roster for the upcoming regular season. With the re-signing of Aaron Judge, the Bronx has already made a big move. And now, in addition to Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes, and Luis Severino, the recently reported addition to the team for $162 million has increased the Pinstripes’ strength by ten folds.

The Yankees’ recent acquisition of free agent Carlos Rodón has sent baseball fans into a frenzy, considering Rodón’s tremendous season with the San Francisco Giants before opting out of his contract in 2022.

How are fans reacting to the latest acquisition of the New York Yankees?

It would not be wrong to say that the Yankees fans are exhilarated by the signing of Rodón. ESPN’s reporter Jeff Passan took to his Twitter handle to share that the Yankees and left-hander Carlos Rodón are in agreement of a $162 million contract for six years.

Even though some of the fans are calling Jeff out on reporting this news a bit late, they are still appreciating him for sharing this exciting news with them. By acquiring Aaron and Carlos, the Yanks have now guaranteed two mammoth deals worth $522 million. 

The Yankees’ fans consider the roster to be one of the strongest and best rosters in baseball, all while hoping for a great upcoming season in the next year.

How did the 2022 season go for the recent acquisition of the Yanks?

Two times all-star Carlos Rodon ended his first season with the Giants by finishing sixth place in the National League’s Cy Young Award. The left-handed pitcher had signed a two-year contract worth $44 million after playing for the White Sox for seven years. 

Rodón played his second all-star game as a roster replacement for Josh Hader. He also reached double-digits in strikeouts ten times during his season with the Giants, making it the new Giants’ all-time single-season franchise record.
