The New York Yankees have made an inspiring comeback in the season after a slow start. Earlier in the season, injuries and poor form heavily impacted their play. Particularly, their pitching rotation was severely impacted by injuries. These included both starting pitchers and relievers spending time on the injured list. Most recently, Yankees fans were elated as a positive update on a $162 million star pitcher was shared.

Despite a rough start to the season, the Bronx Bombers have managed to turn things around. The team is climbing up the AL East and has created some great momentum. This most recent injury update is a huge positive for the team.

New York Yankees’ star pitcher is one step closer to returning 

Carlos Rodon suffered a left forearm injury during Spring Training. Following that, there was a torrid update as he went onto the injured list and missed Opening Day. Fast forward to today and Rodon is yet to play for the Yankees. But recently, Yankees manager Aaron Boone provided a positive update on the star pitcher. Boone has confirmed that Rodon is back with the Yankees and that his rehab is going in the right direction. Talkin’ Yanks shared this latest update on Twitter. 

In a Tweet, they said, “Aaron Boone says Carlos Rodón is back with the team in New York as his rehab continues to move in a good direction”. This is a truly massive update as the $162 million free agent signing edges closer to his return.

Rodon was perhaps the Yankees’ biggest addition this off-season. Supporters of the team were keen on seeing him form a deadly partnership with Gerrit Cole, the team’s ace. This latest update is a huge positive, but it is not the only pitching update for the Yankees.

Luis Severino is back from injury

Luis Severino is finally back from injury. The Yankees’ starting pitcher suffered an injury during Spring Training that kept him out till last week. He made his first start and has looked decent. Severino’s return is huge for the Bronx Bombers as he is a much-needed addition to their rotation. Furthermore, with the positive Carlos Rodon update, the Yankees’ pitching situation is starting to look better.
