CC Sabathia, a former Yankee Pitcher, during a recent interview with PEOPLE, shared his views and blamed the World Classic Championship for the injury. He revealed, “It was just one of those unfortunate things where I think him pitching in the World Baseball Classic and winning that title and doing all these different things maybe led to some fatigue and this injury,” However, it’s his perspective though.

The former pitcher, further continue about the Japanese Phenom’s surgery and 2024 season, said, “But I think for him cleaning out his locker, I thought he should have done it maybe a month ago, when he first got hurt, and took care of himself, maybe got the surgery and been ready to play for the beginning of next year.” The Angles’ pitcher has to go for the Tommy John surgery to heal his injury. However, fans are mostly anxious about his Free Agency and whether he will return to the Angels.

There’s no specific information about that. Everyone is speculating that based on his career stat and ambition, the Two-Way Phenom won’t return to the Angels. However, it’s true that Sho-time’s contract has ended, and he will go for the Free Agency, but the rest is still unknown.
