For any baseball fan, to side with the opposition team, in any manner, is considered an unforgivable offense among the fanbase. Something like this happened once with the Marvel star Chris Evans when people got to know the name of his dog. 

The Marvel star is a well-known fan of the Boston Red Sox. Therefore, when people got to know that his dog’s name is Dodger, they got furious. Considering that the Dodgers are the Major League Baseball team of Los Angeles, fans also had a reason to get angry. 

Naturally, the actor started to face backlash, and it went to the point that he had to come forward to explain that, by all means, he still is only a Boston Red Sox fan. 

How did Chris Evans’ and Red Sox fans react?

Although it was understandable where the fans were coming from, him secretly being a fan of the LA Dodgers was not the reason behind his dog’s name. 

“I get a lot of flack for this because everyone’s like, ‘I thought you were from Boston,’” Evans said. “It has nothing to do with the Dodgers.”
